October is Emotional Wellness Month, which makes sense—with the shift in weather and the days getting shorter and darker, it’s a good time to check in with ourselves and see how we’re doing.
With that in mind, we teamed up with a group of amazing Black woman-owned businesses to create a self-care giveaway, filled with products and services that will help you reconnect with you!
People often think being a mom means always putting your needs at the very bottom of a never-ending to-do list. But it doesn’t have to be—and it can start by making time for you and your needs.
Enter here for a chance to win—share with your friends to increase your chances—and learn more about what you could win below!
This contest is restricted to U.S. residents. A winner will be picked and announced on October 28, 2019.

Loza Tam
Every superhero needs their theme music—and a costume. I’d like to think of Loza Tam’s satin-lined turbans as the perfect thing to wear while you’re on the go, or when you’ve carved out some me-time at the end of a busy day or week. The turban “features an elastic band in the back to ensure a the turban stays secure on your head,” and it’s pre-tied so you have one less thing to do. (Value: $50)

Abiyah Naturals
Abiyah Naturals is a plant-based, handmade line of body and skin care products. If you win the giveaway, you’ll get this “simple self-care starter set: aromatherapy oil to relax, roll on to re-energize, moisturizing soap bar…, all-in-one hair/body butter, and affirmation/inspiration stone.” (Value: $35)

Ivy’s Tea Co.
What’s more relaxing that a nice cup of tea? Ivy’s Tea Co.—”We have herbal tea and herb-infused sweeteners for the culture”—has us covered with their “Sister Sister” herbal tea and “Side Piece” honey.
“Side Piece is a cinnamon and clove infused honey. The locally grown organic honey we is fresh from VA and is delicious in teas, over sweet potatoes or bae, if you’re into that kinda thing.”
“Sister Sister is one of our favorite teas. It has all the herbs needed to beat stress—they’re mostly nervine relaxants. After a few sips, you’ll find yourself overcoming tension and falling into a soothing, calm state.” (Value: $30)

Matrescence Skin
We don’t always wake up flawless. And when that happens, it helps to have a boost from a brightening essence like the one created by Matrescence Skin, an organic, plant-based beauty line that promises “safe and effective skincare solutions for all stages of motherhood.” Made with Value: $68

mater mea
Look, sometimes self-care isn’t bubble baths and getting our nails done.
Sometimes it’s hiring a babysitter for the night so you can have a date with your partner or your sister friends.
Sometimes it’s spending a little extra on groceries to get healthy foods.
Sometimes it’s paying a bill.
With that in mind, I’m adding $100 to the mix, to be used however you want or need. You do you, so you can keep doing this motherhood thing the best way you can. (Value: $100)
